This fly doesn't represent any particular insect. I am trying out the use of EP fibers for wings. I loop them and slightly separate them.
Anyone else use these fibers as such?

Not like that, but it's not a bad idea. Good looking bugs though...
Interesting flies, do you loop the EP around the hook and then up? Or loop into the thread and tie it down. Looks great and might be better lasting.

I use the EP Trigger Point fibers for shucks, parachute posts, and wings - but not in this way. Yet. Looks great, Byron.

I just tied a couple of very simple loop wing spinners using the EP fibers, thanks to Byron's flies. They really look good. Better than a lot of spinner wings that I tie with the EP fibers that are just trimmed. I hope those of you who are much better tiers than me and have a better camera than I do tie some up and post pictures.
