Scott if you haven't click on some of the included links..lots of info...Ive been trying to find a nice olive formula but haven't been successful. There are links there about greens but I'm not sure I see a good olive.
Hi duckster,
I blend grey and yellow in a ratio of about 2:1 to get olive. Can add a little white to get lighter or more grey to go the other way. Of course I was using rabbit already dyed professionally to those base colors, so take that into consideration. Not sure how that translates to dyeing Kool Aid flavors to get olive from one dye process though, lol.

Thanks, everyone! I just started doing some Koolaid dying a few days ago. Trying to get a nice blue, but not the sky-blue from Raspberry Lemonade. Now I know!
Thanks for the links ducksterman - great info!
Hi Uncle Jesse,
I use tan Rit to get brown. To get a nice brown, you have to mix the Rit quite a bit stronger than is normally done. You might be able to get a dark brown if you mix it super strong, but I haven't tried it, so don't know for sure.
Regards,
Gandolf
rit makes a nice dk. brown along with tan. I use and mix rit a lot.

Hope this is not straying too far from thread but red onion skins can be boiled for about 15 minutes then drain off the skins and what you have left is a beautiful yellow. I've dyed mallard flank with this method and had some pretty good imitation lemon wood duck feathers, at least when it comes to color.
