Thanks, Byron. I'll get some from them and try it out.
For those of you who have used both, how does MFC and Veevus compare?

    Joe,
The thing about Veevus is that they make it very fine. You can get it in 14/0

Well, I did have a look - $3.99 for a spool of thread? A bit too rich for me especially when the MFC, which is exactly what I need, goes for about 1/3 the price.

I've got 5 or 6 colors in the Veevus 16/0 and the 10/0. Gonna try the MFC.

I like the MFC thread a lot more than Veevus. The colors are more fishy and brilliant. Veevus is good stuff, don't get me wrong, but I just finished a session tying #30 midges with MFC 8/0 and it's plenty small. The Veevus 16/0 is only slightly smaller than the MFC 8/0.

MFC lays flatter than Veevus or Uni, I tied many years with just Danville probably why I like MFC so much. I also agree that the colors are very good especially the olives and browns.

I really like the MFC thread, It suits me better than other threads I have tried. I just re-ordered a bunch of some a couple weeks ago from Dreamdriftflies.com 2$ shipping on 35$ order.
Some of the 14/0 thread i have researched is really 70 denier. The ought system nomenclature seems to vary by company try and find the thread denier which is a better comparison
