Thank you, all!! It was a fun, although frantic, day! I'm not used to people watching me tye, then add a mega-parted fly, and time limit it ... whoa! Gets the heart beating for sure! The flies were not returned to us at completion. They become part of a collection there at Cabelas. Flies were judged on proportions, cleanness (of the tye), thread control, faithfulness to pattern (compulsory events), originality (freestyle event), and overall impression.
Our baby placed high on all counts!

Betty Iv never seen a pic of you. You don't look like no swamp witch at all ..
and neither does the baby look like a swamp witch grand baby...
I am very happy for your tying wins, (them being on display is gotta be way cool ) and the new born addition. Most of all, I like seeing that happy and joyful smile on your face.

Swamp Witches are sneaky about concealing their appearance. SW Betty once assumed the identity of Cousin Itt. She also did a Mamie Eisenhower imitation.

A little late on the congratulations, but given it was our Mrs. Betty no surprise she took home the prize. Congratulations Betty on your winning flies and to your new grandchild.

I am sure Betty will not mind me telling you, the new grandbaby is in the hospitality having some very serious respiratory challenges. Your prayers will be appreciated by Betty and the family.
