This fly has produced fish for anyone who has it and fishes with it. I am wondering how well it will produce in Burnt Orange also. Time will tell and this is why you learn to tie fly's. So you can change things with the fly and see if it will work for you in your area. Thank You Warren, liljoe, JackH, Healing Waters, and everyone on FAOL, for helping me learn more about fly tying.

It is just unusual for you to tie any fly with a bead head. If you are using beads, they must be the real thing.

newbee, I have fished with Warren. He has taken me to some of his most productive holes on the Duck and Elk rivers. One thing I learned pretty quick fishing with him...he can catch trout from a mud puddle...a VERY small mud puddle.

I had this cartoon saved for a long time, it describes Warren well.

    Brad,

I still remember our "little" wade trip together in Michigan to Keith's cabin!!! Do you? : )

Fly fishing and fly tying are two things that I do, and when I am doing them, they are the only 2 things I think about. They clear my mind.

How could you forget that? I thought I was going to die and they would find my carcass wrapped in one of those trees we had to wade over!

LOL! I just knew I was going to hear banjo music around every bend! That was quite an adventure we should have started on a whole lot earlier in the day!

Did the orange version of the guacamole stick bug work well?

Well when I used it, the fish did hit it, but not nearly as much as they do with the original version.
