Default At Last - Found the Missing Ingredient

I always knew there would be a way to make a fly with an irresistible lucky charm appeal.

After reading the Fly of the Week and following the links at the end of the article I think I have found the missing ingredient.

So who among us is going to pull that out of the bag and use it on a fly? Especially if we need to wet our fingers in order to get it to dub on the thread correctly...

It takes true dedication as a fly tyer to harvest that while you have your hands on a leprechaun. I'd go for the pot of gold myself.

Knowing Lawrence you don't wet your fingers with saliva to dub it but with Captain Morgan's Rum! In one way or another its an essential ingredient in everything he ties.

And all this time I have only grabbed naval lint from the wee people...

Was always afraid of what they would/could do to me magically...

Reminds me of the famous pattern that "requires" the urine stained hair from a coyote or something to that effect.
