If those are the ones I made for you....no, don't wax them. Keep them clean, and let them dry, by snapping them from both ends (hold both ends and snap/pop them by making it "quickly" taunt). They'll last a really long time.

If I am fishing drys I apply a floatant such as Otter butter or Muclin. If I'm fishin nymphs or wets no. If they are made of floro no as they are intended to sink some.
They are just an extension of your line to turn over the tippet easier.

I obliviously do not know what material is in your leaders.

I only make thread leaders. On sinking leaders no treatment. The sinking line and fluro tippet will help it all sink. Dry leaders of thread....I soak them overnight in a silicon liquid. Sprayed from a can of shoe treatment from Wal-Mart. Then hang them out to dry.

Mine typically end up in knots way before I even think they're wearing out. Or the tippet ring gets popped off because I get snagged very well and pull too hard! Haha oops

One of the coolest things about furled leaders ... at least the thread ones I furl .... the knots can be worked out! a little time and patience, and a couple sharp pins, and the knots come out! Good as new!

Jack Hise equipped me with a fluorocarbon leader back in October when I was privileged to visit with him. I struggled with clearing the water with it on my 4 wt. and have since moved it to a 6 wt. I am hoping it will help me find some of the larger browns that are being found in the Hooch now days. I had a friend from NGTO tell the site he and his wife saw a hawg of a brown in the area I haunt.
