Thinking of a trip to NC to fish for trout in March. Any suggestions about: where; type of equipment; hatches to expect, good patterns, etc.?

About that time of year you'll have March Browns, black stones, black and brown caddis. Where, well there is a lot of fishing in NC. You have the GSMNP, many DH area's, The Cherokee Reservation for huge pellet pigs. The Tuckaseegee is a good Tail water. Then you have the Davidson river. Then the area around Spruce Pine.
