Howard Cole's flash-bodied PT variation. A good general attractor, this thing works real well on the swing as a caddis emerger, (especially on those evening hatches). LOF - Lots of Flash
hook - Mustad 3906B #14
thread - UTC 70 wood duck
tail - pheasant tail barbs
body - Krystal Flash mixture (rootbeer, pearl, orange, chartreuse used here)
bead - 3mm silver
hackle - hen pheasant
Part 1
mash barb, slide bead onto hook
start thread and wrap back to bend
take a clump of pheasant tail fibers, measure for length (hook shank)
tie in and smooth with thread wraps; you want the bead to sit about 1 hook eye width back from the eye so you have space to wrap the hackle
take an assortment of KF and tie in
twist the KF into a rope, wrap forward to bead, tie off (half hitch x 2) and coat with Sally; snug bead against body
