    Hackle: Whiting Farms Brahma hen shoulder feather, dyed pale olive
    Body Hackle: Cree cock
    Rib: Wire, silver fine
    Tail: Bronze mallard, dyed oak
    Body: Wapsi Craw-dub, brick

    I consider that pattern a wonderful looking fly that would work well here on my local waters. Thanks for sharing the pattern.....

    The combination of a softer hackle at the head and a stiff body hackle has been very effective here on the lochs.

    I see it as being a fly that could be fished dry as well as wet. I know that I can "cast" the water out of some of my flymphs and fish them as a dry and then pull them under and fish them as a wet fly. I really like that pattern with the combination of the stiff body hackle and soft hackle collar.

    That's a fly that can catch as many fishermen as fish.
