Nothing fancy - 7 yr old Canon Powershot SD750 p&s, Ott tying light and a clamp-on 60w, grey 2mm foam for background. It works pretty well for trout flies, but for the bigger steelhead/salmon/saltwater stuff I've been playing around with, I need a bit more light; I'll see if I can scrounge up another clamp-on.

    Regards,
    Scott

Not to jump the thread, but: A few years ago a semi-pro photographer gave a presentation to our club on fly photography. One of his main points was to have a light shining strictly on the background (as well as one or two on the fly of course). The light on the background washed out any shadows from the 'front' lights so the fly image was more distinct (and IMO more 3-dimensional).
