Thought I would share a new toy that I have just finished with everyone. this is a 7'6" Dickerson 7613 taper. The blanks were built by Mark Fitch and I finished it out using silver rope knurled slide rings from Dave LeClair, a silver and Agate Stripping guide from Russ and the talent at Golden Witch, cork grip which I turned, and I did use Snake Brand Guides. It has 2 dipped and rubbed coats of Spar Urethane, is wrapped in Pearsalls Naples Silk, tipped in Pearsalls Gossamer in black and purple spirals at the Stripping guide. I also turned the reel seat insert out of Maple and now i wish I had used a darker wood like Cocobola or possibly rosewood. Still yet, it was a fun project and it casts like a dream. Lyle Dickerson really had this taper nailed..
