    Default Sierra fly rod

Anyone know what happen to this company or where tney went? I bought a sierra rod from Cabelas and for the the price i have never found another fast action rod to come close. These rods are great for distance casting. I would like to purchase the same in a 6 weight but can't find these rods used or new. There are a couple of companys with Sierra in tbe name building cane rods and one company " Sierra Sitck" doing graphite rods but these are not the same. If anyone knows where to buy Sierra Fly Rods please advsie.
    Thank you

I'm not positive, but I think when TFO rods first came on the market their entry level rod was called Sierra. They sold for around $100 and were nice casting rods.

Are you referring to "Scierra" and not "Sierra". Scierra is a Danish company that makes excellent products including rods and reels. They tried to make inroads into the US market a few years ago. Cabelas was a distributor along with some smaller shops. Ultimately they were not successful enough and they withdrew from the US market after a year or two ceased distribution here.

Scierra gear can be purchased from a number of European shops with an internet presence.
