Looking for this book in hard cover. I think that is the only version printed. Would most appreciate the limited edition leather bound version.

Good luck Byron. I checked every rare book source I could find. It was printed in 1973 but has been out of print for many, many years. I trust you will find a private collector who has a copy. Larry ---sagefisher---
Hi Byron,
I did a quick search and found this currently on eBay. It's on the lower right. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fly-Tyers-Co...a#ht_733wt_975
That same search also went to several forums where folks were asking about it in past years. One person mentioned that all the info that was in that pamphlet, is in the later Hatches books plus a lot more. Another person wrote that they were once found on Amazon for $3.00. This was back in 2008. From reading the replies, I don't think that it had a hard covered version, though I could be wrong. It's certainly not worth what that buy it now price is.
Regards,
Mark
Thanks guys. Saw the books on ebay which including the one I want.
Don't need it that badly.....
It's just a little 60 page booklet. Gotta be some around.
Actually it's a 20 page booklet that's printed on about 100# paper that's spiral bound at the top so the pages flip. The side of the page that has the photos is glossy. Not sure if there was a 'collector edition' or a hardcover for that matter.
Okay, I just looked at the ebay listing. Obviously the one on ebay has a black cover page. The one I have is cream color so there must have been at least 2 printings. Thing is, Caucci/Nastasi printed these pamphlets/booklets. So there may have been any number or types of editions.Regardless, the price on the ebay listing is crazy.

Want to sell yours? I am not interested in the Streamside Guide they also published under their own company, Comparahatch Publishing. Just want the little book "Comparahatch". I was told by others it is 60 pages. Perhaps they printed more than one version on different sized paper.
Found it on Abe Books. There are apparently 2 "volumes" to it.l. One black colored and the other the one you described.
The volume I want is the black colored covered book, and it is 60 pages per the bookseller. The companion volume you have is 20 pages......

Just checked again. The booklet is 4-1/2 x 7". Here's what's on the front cover:
"Caucci/Nastasi

Sorry. It's not for sale.
Allan,
Like I said, you have Vol. 2 of the little 2 volume set. The black covered one is 60 pages and is the one I am most interested in.
I have found the 2 volume set at a reasonable cost.
This is the bookseller's description of the little 2 vol. set:
Book Description: 2-volume set; Text volume in black paper covers; 12mo; 60pp; illustrated with drawings, photos & charts. Second volume spiral comb style binding with plastic overleaf protector; 12mo; 20pp; illustrated with color photos and drawings. Details on 10 major mayfly types with color photos of nymph, male dun, female dun and spinners and the corresponding flies to imitate them. The text volume tells the life cycle of the mayfly; seasons of emergence with detailed tying instructions for various mayfly patterns. Getting hard-to-find as most of these booklets were placed in a fishing vest pocket. This set good to very good with moderate wear and rear corner of text volume clipped.
