I have lived in metro Atlanta since late 1991. Caught my first trout ever in 1992 with a spinning rod and corn. The city has steadily grown to around 5 million people, traffic is still horrible (although I abide it much better now), BUT, I am constantly amazed the little river that runs through the heart the northern outreaches of the metro area contains quality trout including a monster like this. I copied this from the NGTO bulletin board, one of the guys referred to this trout as "Ole Joe" and suggested his diet includes 10" rainbow, which is the smaller size the DNR stocks in the river. He may be the daddy and granddaddy of some of the browns that are now naturally reproducing in the river.
