Depends on the snow pack year. Mid-June is too early if there has been a significant or high snow pack. Light snow pack and you should be fine up there. When time gets closer, like mid-May 2014 , suggest you make a phone call to one of the shops in Sheridan, WY to get a current report. Yhey are on those waters a lot.

Fishing the Encampment with a guide the third week of June and really want to go to the Tongue for a couple of days as that is one of my favorite places to fish.
Not familiar with any other areas out there that are as good to fish that are within reasonble distance to Laramie. Just don't want to fish the Encampment
and then come right back home.
