Thinks Like a Fish
Before this past weekend I had seen Jack express his confidence in Warren?s ability to catch fish. To be honest, I didn?t see Warren catch a lot of fish, But I did see Warren coach me and be sure I caught fish. I listened to him, caught several brook trout, my first ever, and a nice rainbow. I think Warren uses skills he honed back when he was engaged in tournament bass fishing. Tournament bass fishing throws guys on to strange lakes, sometimes against local boys who know the lake that weekend. Successful fishermen have to understand water conditions, weather conditions and the nature of the beast they are chasing. I scanned in the cartoon below from an ad a good while back, I think it fits my friend Warren.
Now about Jack, Jack makes a great breakfast and know where there is really good barbeque, served in picturesque settings by pretty young ladies, but that doesn?t surprise anyone who knows Jack. He also produces some killer furled leaders, that get down and will take your fly with them.
