    Default Fenglass 605-2

I have wanted this blank forever and could not find it so I bought the factory rod and completely stripped the blank. I left the grip and reel seat since they are very lightweight and the rod was brand new. The factory rod had a gloss finish, double foot guides, the bakery string butt wrap, and a ton of epoxy on the wraps. I'd venture to say that by steel wooling the gloss off of the blank, using single foot guides, and two very light coats of FC lite that I shaved almost an ounce off of the finished rod. I used Light brown nylon and no CP and it is close to the original but not as red. This thing casts a 4 or 5wt line quite nicely.
