Here's mine for this month. I made a crawfish version of a Clouser Minnow. I was going to call it the Clouser Crawfish, but there is a completely different pattern with that name already...ditto for Mud Bug, Crawdad, and other cool names, so I will call this one the Clouser Rusticus.
Clouser Rusticus
Hook: Cabelas sz 4 Wet Hook
Thread: Brown 6/0 Unithread
Weight: Barbell eyes
Body: Bucktail, orange on bottom, rust brown on top, tied Clouser-style, with a few strands of copper Krystal Flash (note-the picture is of the prototype, before I decided to add the Flash...) .
Legs: Brown and Orange rubber legs
Granted, it's just a Clouser Minnow with rubber legs, but if you think about it, a Woolly Booger is just a Woolly Worm with a marabou tail, and look what kind of history that made.....
BTW I can't remove the other October Swap Post, but I have sent a message to the moderators explaining the situation and asking them to remove it.
And. welcome aboard, crickwalker. Glad you're with us. You've just joined the wildest swap in the entire Fly Tying World. You don't have to be crazy to join... but it helps......
