I fish this with a fast sinking line and fast stripping. First I lay it out in the sunlight so it does glow. It has been amazing!

No rivers yet I am still water as long as I can. No idea on the charge but it really isn't in the water long before it is hit.

What about adding UV2 materials along with the glow-in-the-dark yarn? Would that be overkill?

One of my favorite annual trips is for lake trout hammering outbound smolts. I guess that is redundant... Anyway, the action is after dark and the attacks must be seen to be believed... Using long, articulated smolt patterns with glow in the dark materials must be seen to be believed.

I charge them with a flashlight before each cast and they are vivid enough to see easily in the water. At the take parts of the fly can usually be seen streaking upriver. It is a lot of fun...

It could be incorporated for sure and YES I am a believer and user of the Spirit River UV2. This fly works so well as it is and that is during the day. I don't do night fishing but hap has me interested.
    Speaking of UV2.

Weight optional, I prefer unweighted and let the line put it in the zone
