    I wonder what trout would do with one of these?

    I'm sure they'd eat it if they got the chance! They'll eat mice, which are just a bit bigger...

    You have shown us what it would look like to a fisherman, but not to the fish. The top major layer of the fly would be green craft foam with some long hackle tips and translucent metallic accent film over that and some rubber legs.

    Thanks Len, I think I have some "no longer cool" fingernail polish about that green, bronze metallic color. It would be cool if the Contact paper people made a printable sheet you could print it cut it out and stick it to the bottom of a fly. The width of the body about 5/8" and the length a little less than 1 1/4" ?
