    Default Anybody know the name of this fly?

    I've been going through the posts from the previous years, looking for ideas on flies to tie. I found a picture of one, but no idea what it's called.

    Scroll down the page. It's the braided black and chartreuse bug with a bead head and rubber legs that biot midge posted. Looks like a variant of a Bluegill Bully Spider.

    I'm going to have to tie a few of these up. Might have to get some hooks. Looks like it's tied on a scud hook. I've got some size 12 3xl curved shank hooks that might work.

    Very similar to the Tickler. That fly does catch fish on a regular basis here in Kansas!

    The guy calls it a Wilson's Blueill Bugger in peacock/black.
