Yep - here we go.... Let the games begin!
I hope these folks know what they are doing. The NPS efforts to "remove" all non-native fish in the park and to eventually "eliminate" the "harassing" of fish (wildlife) in the park by anglers will be an ongoing struggle for the foreseeable future, IMHO.
I started cracking up when I read they will only be using "genetically pure" grayling for restocking...
Can just see the Grayling Gestapo at the hatchery "Veee must see your pa-PERS' NOW!"
The particular strain of grayling in Grayling Creek originally may have been significantly different from the grayling available now... And to suggest they have genetically pure brood stock is funny... well, sad really.
