    Nice tie!!! Have you tried tying it with palmered brown hackle instead of grizzly? I find it works well on cloudy days, could be the darker color gives better contrast.
    Work is something for people that don't fish.

    I have not Mike. Actually, I use a light dun, but nearly grizzly. I also don't use a silver rib, but rib with thread.

    Real nice Chuck. I would say that your fly is dressed more like the original pattern.

    Thanks, Byron. I tied it that way because I was teaching the pattern at our club. Thought sticking to the "original" would be best for that.

    I love following your posts involving experimentation for patterns. Fun, isn't it?

    My Grizzly Hen neck is kaput! SO....I substituted Silver Badger. And Cree hackle in place of the griz/brown.....Oh....and CDL in place of the griz tail.
