The Green Hornet strikes again!!!
Nobody, eh? I am headed that direction to fish for the second time ever, as we go up there to hunt antelope every September. Been doing some looking online at some potential public access spots.... would love to narrow things down a bit because I only have two or three days in trout waters a year!
The Green Hornet strikes again!!!
Check out the Laramie river just south of town. Have never fished it myself but my brother has. There is a fishing shop just south of the interstate, can,t remember the name, but they may be of some help. When is this trip supposed to happen?

Byron, will definitely check that out. Trip is planned for the second weekend in September.
The Green Hornet strikes again!!!
Actually headed out there from Maryland on Friday to fish with Four Season's Anglers. Never been there before, so will be a first for me. Fished the Bighorn and Yellowstone for many years but nothing out that way.
Will post plenty of pics when I get back.
Kid, I happen to be off that weekend! Will get back to you when it gets nearer. I will check with my brother about a couple of places to try.

Kid,
From the Snowy Range exit on I-80, go west. Stay on 230 to Woods Landing. At Woods Landing, turn left and cross the Laramie River. Then go south a few miles on hwy 10. There are two access areas on the right. I like the southern one of the two. There is one more access farther south, but you need 4 wheel drive and a strong stomach to get to the river. Most of the fish are browns, and the water will be low and clear in September. Generic dry flies like Adams, EHC, and stimulators will work, but for September, you should have some Trico spinners. If you tie your own, about size 22 or 24 are best. Be sure to take your own, because the local shops only had 18's the last time I ran out, and 18's are more than twice as big as the naturals. The access closer to Laramie is on 230 also. It's called Monolith. Watch for the sign on the left just a few miles out of Laramie.
Good luck,
Arnie
Byron, I can agree to that! At least for the first name!!
