The fly looks great to me. Nice tie in my view, Byron.
Trout don't speak Latin.
Your tie looks as good as any. I fished this pattern for 3 days on the upper Colorado with fantastic results. I tie it with more of a standard shuck, sparser and longer. Nice job on the hackle. I usually have a void somewhere when I tie off behind the eye. Not so much tying off on the post, as I do with para adams and such. Again, great pattern. It outfished a standard elk hair by a wide margin.
Not a bad tie. It'll fish. I usually tie it with a lighter but longer schuck, tighter body using Superfine, more wing, and less/shorter hackle. Mine are a bit more like the original, but everyone their own preferences. Here Ralph Cutter, the originator, page on the pattern: http://www.flyline.com/fly_patterns/...ies/ec_caddis/
