Thread: Cork grip size

    Default Cork grip size

Are all cork grip sizes for rods 6wt and under the same size or do you have to order based on some diamentions. I have a couple of cork grips and am building a Cableas 9 ft 6 wt but the cork grips I purchased appear to be small meaning it looks like when I ream it out there would not be much meat left on the grip.

I think they are pretty much the same size, but do vary some by style, ie a full wells grip will have diff. measurements than say a cigar style. In some catalogs you can find shorter grips. You order by the style you like and if you want the back reamed out for the front of the reel seat. Allyn
