Rib: Wire, gold fine
Tail: Lemon woodduck barbs
Abdomen: Mottled turkey barbs
Thorax: Peacock herl
Legs: Lemon woodduck barbs

Not really - I have fished it a couple times on lakes. I am, however, much more a streams person and there I have preference for other patterns.

The Cate's Turkey is an established classic pattern, and one I like - which made it a candidate for doing a video

I have used it mostly on lakes but can be used in streams as well. It probably mostly imitates a Callibaetis nymph, but it could be taken for any small critter swimming or crawling around. I have even fished it like a chironomid at times. In streams it could be used as a Baetis nymph or as a general mayfly nymph.

Hans Do you weigh the flies some way to get them to sink?
Notice many of your flies do not list weight.
