    Default Fly Turner or Drier

Just goofin around the other day... 5rpm motor, some scrap wood, a switch and a few agilater clips then 2 thin coats of varnish... It can hold flies from a size 14 and larger... Smaller than 14 wants to set in the clips crooked... If I can I would like to find some small agilator clips and put those half way between the large clips and the very center of the disk just for flies under size 14...

I made a similar one sometime ago but used an old BBQ rotisserie motor. You can use the bigger clips for smaller flies by putting some small rubber tubing or tape on the jaws to cover up the grooves.

    Bugman,

I have a rotisserie motor for that purpose. But I am not going to use it. I have a rod turning motor that I will make mine out of. I will send you a smaller clip just for show and tell. It is exackery what you have in mind for smaller alligator clips. It will show you what to get for what you want for the 14's.

By the way Kelly, you can have the rotisserie motor if you want it. I have absolutely no use for it. Let me know and I will mail it to you.

Whitewolf, I am good now. Thanks for that offer though. If I need it in the future, I will holler at ya. But Bugman fixed me up. This thing is great. I love it. Perfect rotation too in the speed dept. He outdid himself on these. It is gorgeous. I hear you are coming fishing with us this fall. That will be something to look forward to. I can't wait to go. I am ready for fall already. It will be good to see you again. I enjoyed fishing with you, when you visited with Bugman before. That was a lot of fun.
