yes, my buddy and I were talking about "the old days" last night. We recalled those days. I think the old fellow"s name was Huggens or something like that. He sat near his pickup and collected $3 from anyone who arrived to fish there.
Interesting how places get their names. Everyone now refers to it as $3 Bridge. Probably not too many know why.

That is the "new" old bridge that they moved from another river. The original bridge was wooden.
