    Default Went fishing today.

I went fishing today, and it rained on me but there were a lot of brown drakes out and the fish were rising. The best fish was rising at the arrow. Water is flowing left to right. Location is surrounded by snags upstream and on each side.

Deep water between me and the fish, no room for a backcast. I can't get directly downstream from the fish.

    What would you do?

Snag up four or five times, then throw a rock at him, because if I can't get him, no one CAN!!

Flick a backhand cast upstream and High Stick it! I've done this often with wet fly's but why not with a dry! Interesting!

    Bow and arrow cast.
I'm either going to, coming from or thinking about fishing. Jim

Second Question - Where would you cast the fly?

I might try a slack line cast from up stream. If he does not take on the first drift you are almost certainly snagged
