I already have to house to power wash when the hatch is over. I'm 1 mile South of Lake Erie, but we just have the knucklehead midges over here...and LOTS of them! THe fishing sucks because the hatches are so good, but that should make for some chubby perch and walleye once the hatch is over.

Cool pics; I've seen heavy whitefly hatches on the Potomac and Patapsco Rivers but nothing like that. Anyone ever catch a walleye on a hex dry? That would be a hoot.

Parmesan crusted walleye with some mushroom couscous and Caesar salad...... with a side of some of your homemade bread. Just saying! (sitting here at 11:30pm salivating just thinking about it)

We get huge blanket hatches of a Hex type mayfly that is affectionately referred to in East Tn. as the "willow fly". Everything that swims in the Tennessee river system of lakes eats it with passion! I have witnessed huge blue cats nibbling away at the basketball sized clumps of nymphal shucks that form by lapping waves. awesome sight!
