Default Tenkara Flies For Bass You Can Cast On Tenkara Rods

Well Chris Stewart has been at it again and turned out another informative fixed line fly fishing master piece. Here is the link: http://www.tenkarabum.com/tenkara-flies-for-bass.html

I like that article. I am curious why not just use a bugger though? Having said that I really like that minnow fly. The biggest bass I caught this year was on a #12 peacock colored slf bugger. Pic0218.jpg

Buggers work great if they're not too heavy. I've done a couple articles on buggers: http://www.tenkarabum.com/woolly-bugger-tenkara.html and http://www.tenkarabum.com/killer-bugger-tying-kit.html

Where can you purchase that yarn? Aside from your web site. I guess what I'm trying to say is can you buy similar yarn at say a craft store or is it different somehow? Just being curious I guess. Gonna kick back and read those articles later.

Some yarn stores carry the brand but not all the colors. The yarn is Jamieson Shetland Spindrift. The color of the yarn used for the Big Kebari shown in the Tenkara Flies for Bass article is Moorit-Shaela. The color of the yarn shown on the Big Kebari step-by-step instructions on the TenkaraBum Blog was Oxford. The only things special about the yarn are that it is 100% wool and neither yarn is a solid color. Both have strands of other colors running through it, which I believe makes it more realistic. The Moorit-Shaela also has one ply that is brown and one tht is gray.
