    North Kaibab Trail (only did 3.5 miles on it)

    Drove down to the South Rim the next day and hiked the other way; again only about 3 miles, but at 100+ again that was fine. Scored a campsite last minute at Mather; nice showers.

    balky alternator ended things a bit prematurely, but the Dodge had enough left to get us home (actually this is a shot of the Missions outside St. Ignatius; too dark to take a pic in Whitefish but you get the idea)
