    Default watered down

At the recent Great Waters show a fellow was telling me he watered down his flex coat 50-50 on the first coating, then went full rate a second time over. It has slipped my memory what he used to cut the stuff. Any clues? I was thinking acetone but not nervy enough to try it without picking your brains. JGW

Woooo....be careful out there. Thinning FlexCoat requires careful measurement to get it right. If you wish to thin it you have 2 choices, acetone or epoxy thinner. The gurus of reference recommend that to a measure of 3cc each of the 2 parts of Flexcoat, add 1 to 4 DROPS of solvent. A glass eye dropper is the tool to use for this. Mixing very thoroughly should give you the thin coat required.
