    Do I detect that Sir Francis has an Irish accent?
    On close inspection it looks to me like you have wound the Mallard Drake feather. At first I thought you had applies it by rolling a section around the shank like the veiling on a dabbler. I suppose if you didn't have a small drake neck feather you could do it this way with a larger flank feather.
