    Default Tad Different Caddis Pattern

    Hi,
Tried an egg-laying pattern using a tightly furled Zelon "egg sack".
Has an underwing of CDC and overwing of deer hair.

I like it a lot Byron. Could this be the Adams of Caddis. Just has such an overall buggy look.

Very nice Byron, Egg sacks can be a huge trigger to fish.

Some caddis flies lay on the surface by dipping their abdomen into the surface. If you tied this on a curved shank hook it would be an excellent imitation of this behaviour.

    Cheers,
    A.

Byron- I think you've hit the jackpot here. Back to my vise to tie up several to take to the AuSable this week.

It's an antron/hare mix. The CDC is an underwing.

    Thumbs up

Very creative. I can see explosive hook ups with that fly.

What are the antennae? When in the tying sequence do you add them? Thanks, Jeff
