Hope this link works, as smallie season is HERE

To hijack my own thread, my wife and I were golfing at a local resort area to celebrate our 36th, a windy spring day. We crossed a small lake and I spotted several large fish taking something off the top. I stopped on the bridge and saw carp taking tulip poplar bloom petals that were blown of the trees. Murph tossed a cracker and he took that readily, but refused the second cracker, the petals were better, I guess. So, if it is windy, fish for topwater carp, just like we use streamers for trout when the water is high?
