Have you tried it with a 4 weight?

I can't imagine the situation where you would want to fish a 6'6" 3 wt that couldn't deliver the goods up close and personal, but that might just be because I lack imagination.

It sure is nice looking, though. The yellow wraps really set off the color of the blank.
