    Is there a problem with the GPS system? It seem it has just stopped working in Guyana

    Could be weather related or Solar flares. The possiblity of damage to the unit or battery connection faulty on your system??

    tried 3 different hand held systems, none even finding one sat ???????
    checked GPS mag nothing mentioned???????

    With three items not working, it sounds like your location environment. Try it in an open field and a few other locations. The resulsts may give you a clue to the problem. Tree cover etc. will attenuate the signal.

    If it's any help, I just fired up my handheld, no problems, eleven birds overhead here in sunny Northern California.

    Check this site out, might help you answer some questions. We have days when the system comes up blank, also. And other days when it works great, even in heavy canopy.
