Very nice Byron, its probably a different insect this side of the pond, but I have never been able to get a light enough dressing to effectively imitate the PMD. Ours are usually around size 18 to 20, and so translucent they are almost not there. Not a hatch I come across often, but I've never really cracked it.

Hans, Is that the same piece of Zelon used for the tail and wing?
I've tried something similar (no Z-lon in the tail) I had the odd fish on it but wasn't convinced I'd really cracked it. Maybe I'm being too critical, but if the rise form to my fly isn't the same as the one to a natural I don't think I have 100% fooled the fish on imitation.
