Default California high country pack rod 2wt

This one is for a customer that wanted a small pack rod for fishing the California high country streams. It's a 662-4 Batson with carbon fiber seat, custom grip, minima SF guides, dark blue wraps with metallic silver single turn trim.

That's such a great little blank! I can understand why you build so many of those!

    Hi Steve,

It is a beauty! I want to build a 2 wt in 6' to 6' 6" length this spring, and like that one, mine will be a pack rod. If mine turns out half as well as that one, or the rods that Kevin and some of the other guys who post here build, I will be really happy.

Mine will use snake guides, however, for the sole reason that I like the look of the traditional guides. I do know that the single foot ceramic guides can perform better, but with my casting better guides will do little to help. (My casting is pretty much beyond help.)

    At any rate, very nice!

    Regards,

    Gandolf
