    Default video - MSA Hopper

    The MSA Hopper, originated by Loren Williams, is a high floating hopper pattern - best fished in combination with a heavy nymph suspended from the hopper. A double whammy tandem.





    MSA Hopper
    Hook: Partridge BIN #8 (or equivalent medium wire 2XL hook)
    Thread: Benecchi 12/0, black
    Body hackle: Whiting saddle, dirty badger
    Abdomen: Argentinean hare, dyed olive
    Flash: Krystal Flash, pearl
    Wing: Deer hair, dyed olive
    Legs: Round rubber, black
    Hackle: Whiting saddle, dirty badger
    Thorax: Argentinean hare, dyed olive

    Hans,
    Thanks for posting the video. I do not like fishing huge foam patterns. This looks more "natural" to me.
    Will probably give it a go.
