We ended up with an official 13". I live about 2 miles from where the Rockies shoot up out of the plains. It is the view from our house. The sun came out today and the mountains have never looked more beautiful. I was surprised that, even though the air temperature never got above 28 today, the sun's rays were enough to melt much of the snow.

Central Pa had temps in the mid 80's yesterday...doesn't seem right to have no green leaves and temps that high for spring. Not complaining though.

We got winds and tornadoes last night.

The power lines are down, trees are uprooted, debris and limbs are all over the place.
I don't think there are any reports of serious injury or deaths.

I have some damage to the house and a tree in my front yard, by the corner of the house, is partially uprooted and leaning a little on the house.
Some people got it a lot worse. It was too dark last night and before work this morning to see exactly how much damage there was.

It was a balmy 85 yesterday, and then the front blew through last night. My wife and I heard metal crashing around and went out to find a piece of siding trim in the yard. At first we thought from our house, but a closer inspection revealed it blew in from the next block over at the closest. Today we only hit 78. Brrr. And last Saturday I was having to wrap my gloved hands around the motor of my bike to warm the numbness out of them.

3" of rain here and more falling as I type this. Rivers will be blown for a while. Need to make Furled leaders and Tenkara lines anyway...

Default Winter has over stayed it welcome in Minnesota

    April 19th:

Just had a major storm drop some wet heavy snow fall in Minnesota...

We had a major snow storm come through last week, and now we got some more today...

Just when we had metorology weather reports of high temptures in the 50's on Friday we got another help of wet snow fall. While using the snowblower one side of the auger jammed up, with another 2 inches on the ground this evening and it is still falling...

Whole month of trout fishing in Minnesota shot...

I am just hoping that we will have a weekend this summer when it is not raining...

No snow here, but plenty of rain this morning. Two days ago it was 86, tomorrow starts off at 37.
