What PA Dave said, Bass Pro is more bass fishing focused, casting, spinning, etc., they also seem to have more in the boating line compared to the few Cabelas I have been too. But both companies are going to tailor their offering to the local market. The BPS at Atlanta is not as elaborate as several of the stores I have visited. The Phoenix store has a "Fine Guns" room with everything in it 5 figures or more; several have golf shops, Atlanta doesn't; some have ranges in the store; the Foxboro, Mass store is my favorite it has a 42 ft. replica of a whale and large sharks hanging from the ceiling and a real birch bark canoe for a decoration. I think you will be pleased compared to the Atlanta BPS or Charlotte for the fly shops.
