Cicada Patterns

Hi All;

The seventeen year Cicadas are going to make an appear in my neck of the woods soon.

Anyone care to share thier favorite pattern for this event?

I've been playing around with Adam Trina's Carnage flies. Using the 2mm foam, I ended up with a chunky-bodied fly that, in the right colors, could pass for a cicada:








Haven't had a chance to fish them yet, so no recommendations, but if you slap foam and elk hair on a hook, it'll probably get some fish's attention.
