    Default Free E-Books On Flyfishing

Has anyone downloaded any books from this place? I Just came across it. My Norton says it is a safe site but wondered if anyone here has used it or had any problems with it.

Your question reminded me that I had not downloaded the Reader program from my Sony Reader to my new (two weeks old) computer. So within the last 10 minutes I have connected the Sony and done so, and then downloaded 3 of the books at the Peak site and sync'd them to the reader. The actual download of the books was so quick they 'arrived' as soon as I clicked.
They look OK on the Reader, although they are some kind of archived scan (EPUB), so there are couple of instances of the paragraph not wrapping correctly, and a couple of spare letters now and then. I'm not complaining, the meat and potatoes of the information are there and the computer and Reader are both uncomplaining.

I just downloaded a book from that site. Now I have duplicates of all my books. (Kindle)

I've pulled up a number of free titles on my Nook including those of Ogden, La Branche, Clark, Mary Orvis, H.G. McClelland and George Parker Holden.

McClelland's How to Tie Flies for Trout and Holden's Stream Craft were both important in the development of the Catskill Dry.

For a couple of bucks, I got Eric Leiser's Complete Book of Fly Tying.

My favorite site for free downloads of books in pdf format that I read on my Nook is archive.org. They have over 300 titles on fly fishing and some on fly tying, fly dressing, salmon fly as well.

spending their lives in the fields and woods,
in a peculiar sense a part of Nature themselves,
are often in a more favorable mood for observing her,
in the intervals of their pursuits,
    than philosophers or poets even,
    who approach her with expectation."
