H & H is a good source for blanks but why not buy a USA blank from them?

The Forcast blank is just what I saw that was cheap and since this would be my first, I think cheep is the operative word. Tell me more about the USA blank, is that a brand or just one made here?

All Bobs blanks are good , I would take his IM6 kits over the older forecast blanks . I do think that the IM6s are available in multi piece configs. Nothing against the Forecast blanks , I just think his IMs are better , and I've built a bunch of both . I would also talk to him and upgrade the components , he will do this at a very minimal price , well worth the $$.
Good luck with your project , prepare yourself for a lifetime of rodbuilding .

One further word on Forcast blanks. Forcast for 2005 model yr are IM6 and the color is deep blue as opposed to their previous teal blanks of 2004.
