    Been there, done that ...!

With the exception of a very slippery rock (and my favorite places seem to always have some of those!), when I've fallen it seems to me I generally had my mind somewhere other then paying attention on that turning around.

the worst fall i ever had was with my brand new rod, it broke my fall.... rod and reel took it like a champ, i ripped my thumb nail off, tweaked my back, skinned my elbow, lost my glasses, and managed to loose my cell phone.... it was one of those 3 to the left, 2 to the right, 1 forward... and i still managed to catch a fish that day!
if every cast caught a fish, it would be called "catching" not "fishing"

I used to take a dunking just about every time out. Never a bad fall but enough to get a little water in the waders. I don't believe I've dunked myself for about 3 years now. (Knock on wood.) I don't know if that is because I've gotten better at wading or if, as I get older, I take less chances.

Back in my duck hunting days my hunting buddies threatened to write a book titled "How Royce Got Wet at the Slough". Every hunting trip would have been good for another chapter.

Under 30???? I haven't been "under thirty" in about 30 years. I guess I just "think" I can wade like I used to. hahahaha
Work is something for people that don't fish.

I'm not admitting anything mind you, but when your fishing buddies tell your Bride not to let you fish alone, it generally MEANS something.
Thank the Lord for my Folstaf (and surefooted friends like Grubb)!!
