Received a beautiful little piece of eel skin in yesterday's mail. That was fast! Took it to a local fly shop last night for the weekly "Tie-In" and found lots of folks willing to think outside the box! Will have to see what comes of it. I have a couple ideas to play with already

I have done nothing but look so far, but I can imagine they would... Have you ever tried to do a spey wing with it?

Spent the day working on presentation flies for a huge shadowbox gift for a supporter of a certain cause and the eye strain has been getting to me. Kept wishing I was tying something "easy" like speys or full dress Atlantics for fishing! Really wish I had time to tie some things with the eel... but I will soon and I will post my results...
